Mabuhay and welcome to the Rotaract Club of Manila's official site!

The Rotaract Club of Manila (RAC-Manila) is a youth organization in the Philippines chartered under the Rotaract program of Rotary International (or RI) on 6 February 2001. It is part of a network of Rotaract clubs in the Philippines. Membership in the club is open to students and young professionals who are 18 to 30 years old.

The club was organized on 7 November 2000. The founding officers and members consisted of young professionals and students from De La Salle University-Manila, Central Colleges of the Philippines, and the Bureau of Fire Prevention. It was officially chartered on 11 January 2001 under the sponsorship and guidance of the Rotary Club of Manila.

We are proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manila (Asia's First Rotary Club) of Rotary International District 3810, Philippines and a partner of the United Nations Millennium Development Campaign (UN-MDG).

Rotaract Manila is the Over-all International Winner (RY 2009-10) and Asia-Pacific Regional Winner (RY 2007-08) for Rotary International's Rotaract Outstanding Projects.

President's Corner

By definition of Rotary International Rotaract is a Rotary  sponsored service club  for young men and women ages 18 to 30. The sponsorship is a result of Rotary’s belief that young people, or New Generations, should take an active interest in community life and have the opportunity for professional development. These Rotaract clubs are either community or university based and sponsored by a local Rotary club.

A Rotaract club can bring new energy to a Rotary club, inspire fresh ideas for service, increase support for projects, and help develop future Rotary club members. This makes them true partners in service and key members of the extended family of Rotary.

Rotaract’s International Mission Statement: The Purpose of Rotaract sets to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Ten years ago there was an idea from a group of friends who wanted to pursue making a difference for the society and continue helping the underprivileged communities after their university years. Through the leadership of Charter President Ruby Anne D. Abastillas and with sponsorship and guidance of Asia’s First Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Manila under the presidency of Sebastian “BUSTER” Arrastia, that idea is now the ROTARACT CLUB of MANILA.
